We are Northeast Ohio’s premium solid surface countertop supplier. Our team fabricates solid surface countertops and backsplash in-shop and delivers the finished solid surface products to your home.

Solid surface countertops are generally seen as a strong middle-of-the-road choice for homeowners. Generally, solid surface countertops are stronger and more repairable than laminate, but remain slightly weaker than hard granite. In terms of price, granite remains more expensive than solid surface, while laminate remains significantly less expensive than any other option.

Both solid surface and quartz countertops share a massive amount of similarities and benefits, but defer on some crucial points.

Heat Resistance

Generally speaking, quartz is significantly more heat resistant than a solid surface countertop. Though heat isn’t recommended for either material, quartz is significantly more forgiving.

Seam Visibility

One of the most crucial design choices between solid surface and quartz is the visibility of the seams. Essentially, solid surface seams are nearly invisible due to the solvent used to join the seams. Quartz, by nature of the material, has visible seams, though they remain relatively unnoticeable.

Appearance

This does differ based on the type of respective material, but generally, solid surface has a matter, soft looking appearance. Quartz has a high gloss, gleaming appearance.
